Terms & Conditions
Therapy Agreement & Terms of Working Together
This agreement is designed to create clarity, safety and mutual understanding so our work together can remain focused, supportive and effective. Please read through carefully and ask if anything feels unclear.

Professional Standards
I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist working in accordance with the professional standards and ethical guidelines of:
-
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
-
British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)
-
British Association of Dramatherapists (BADth)
These frameworks guide confidentiality, ethical practice and professional conduct.
Assessment & Starting Therapy
In our first session(s) we will explore what brings you to therapy, your current challenges, relevant history and what you would like support with. This assessment phase may take one or two sessions.
Following this, we will agree therapy goals together and decide whether ongoing therapy feels appropriate. There is never any obligation to continue.

Sessions & Practical Details
-
Sessions usually last 50 minutes.
-
Therapy is offered in person in Stratford-upon-Avon or online across the UK via a secure clinical platform.
-
If you arrive late, sessions will still end at the agreed time.
We will review progress regularly and adapt session frequency or duration if clinically helpful.

Fees & Payment
The fee for an individual therapy session is currently £80 per session.
Invoices are usually issued monthly in advance. Payment should be made before scheduled sessions by bank transfer unless otherwise agreed.
Sessions that remain unpaid may be cancelled until payment is received.
If using private healthcare insurance, therapy will begin once authorisation has been confirmed.

Cancellation Policy
Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
-
Less than 48 hours’ notice or missed sessions are charged in full.
-
Sessions cancelled with sufficient notice will be rearranged where possible.
This protects reserved clinical time.

Confidentiality & Data Protection
Confidentiality is central to psychotherapy.
Information shared in therapy remains confidential except where:
-
There is risk of serious harm to yourself or others
-
Safeguarding concerns arise
-
Disclosure is required by law
Where possible, this will always be discussed with you first.
I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and work in line with UK GDPR and data protection legislation. Clinical notes are stored securely.
Supervision & Professional Development
To maintain safe, ethical practice I engage in regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional training.
Your case may be discussed anonymously in supervision. No identifying information is shared.

Recording Sessions
Occasionally sessions may be recorded for clinical supervision or training purposes. This will always be discussed with you beforehand and your consent sought.
Recordings are stored securely and deleted once therapy ends.
You are welcome to record sessions yourself; please let me know so we can discuss safe storage.

Ending Therapy
You are free to end therapy at any time. Wherever possible, I recommend a planned ending session to support reflection and consolidation.
If I am unable to continue therapy due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, I will aim to support transition to another therapist where appropriate.
Safety & Conduct
Therapy sessions cannot take place if you attend under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed substances.
Threatening behaviour or violence will result in immediate termination of therapy.
